Volunteering for the Philadelphia Reading Olympics
Volunteers do not necessarily have the time; they just have the heart. ~Elizabeth Andrew
Volunteers are an integral part of the Philadelphia Reading Olympics. This wonderful program has become a success because of the dedication and enthusiasm of many people. Each year we’ve had to expand with the addition of new teams interested in participating in this program. We now have close to 2000 children from 120 schools participating at 7 sites over two weeks. To ensure that the Philadelphia Reading Olympics continues to run smoothly, we need your help.
If you are interested in donating your time and would like to be a part of this event, please contact Bonnie Stone at bstone@philareads.org or call 215-279-7516. Thank you for your commitment to the Philadelphia Reading Olympics!
The Intermediate competitions will be held during the week of May 9, 2011 at local college and university campuses.
